Flex Print Price in Nepal: Rates, Sizes, and What Actually Decides the Cost

Flex banner printing starts at Rs. 20 per sq. ft. at our Kathmandu shop. How the maths works, what pushes the rate up, and how to avoid buying the wrong flex.

Flex Print Price in Nepal: Rates, Sizes, and What Actually Decides the Cost

Let's answer the question you searched for before anything else: flex banner printing at Glow N Sign starts at Rs. 20 per square foot.

That's the real starting rate at our Teku print floor, not a bait number. But if you've ever ordered flex before, you know two shops can quote wildly different totals for the "same" banner. This guide explains where those differences come from, so you can compare quotes properly — including ours.

The maths, in plain terms

Flex is priced by area: width × height in feet, multiplied by the per-square-foot rate.

  • A 10 ft × 4 ft shop banner is 40 sq. ft. At the starting rate, the print alone is about Rs. 800.
  • A 20 ft × 5 ft storefront flex is 100 sq. ft — about Rs. 2,000 for the print at the starting rate.
Those figures are for the printed flex itself. Finishing is what most first-time buyers forget to ask about — and where quotes quietly diverge.

What moves the price up (or down)

1. The flex material itself. Normal flex is the workhorse — fine for events, promotions, and anything short-term. Star flex is denser and holds colour better, so it costs more per foot but looks sharper and lasts longer on a storefront. Backlit flex, the kind used in lightboxes, is a different material again. When a quote looks suspiciously cheap, the first thing to check is which flex they're actually giving you.

2. Print resolution. A hoarding seen from 50 metres away doesn't need the same resolution as a banner people walk past at arm's length. Printing everything at maximum resolution wastes your money; printing a close-up banner at hoarding resolution looks blurry. We match the resolution to the viewing distance — it's the kind of judgment call you get from a shop that also installs what it prints.

3. Finishing and fitting. Eyelets for tying, pasting onto an existing board, or fabricating a new frame — each adds to the total. A flex print stapled to a rotting frame fails in one monsoon, so if your board's structure is old, budget for the frame conversation.

4. Stickers cost more than banner flex — for a reason. Vinyl sticker printing runs at Rs. 75 per sq. ft. and UV sticker printing at Rs. 135 per sq. ft. The material is self-adhesive, holds finer detail, and the UV inks survive sunlight and cleaning — which is why shop-window and product stickers are not priced like banners.

5. Quantity and urgency. Bulk runs bring the per-foot rate down. Same-day delivery is possible — we do it regularly for events — but tight deadlines leave no room to reprint if your artwork file has an error, so send print-ready files or have us design it properly first.

Flex vs. the alternatives

Flex is the cheapest way to put a big message on a wall, and there's no shame in that — half the shopfronts in Kathmandu run on it. But it's not always the right answer:

  • If the sign is your permanent brand face, a 2D board or 3D letters will outlast and outclass any flex.
  • If you need glow at night, a backlit lightbox or neon sign does what plain flex can't.
  • If the message changes weekly, consider digital signage — one screen replaces every reprint you'd ever order.
An honest shop will tell you when flex is the wrong product. That's us telling you.

Getting an exact quote

Send us three things — the size (width × height), where it's going (indoor, outdoor, lightbox), and how long it needs to last — and we'll give you the exact number the same day, usually within a couple of hours. If you're not sure about sizes, send a photo of the space and we'll measure off it.

Get a flex printing quote — or call us; the number works and a human answers.
